Today marks another milestone for the Singapore Memory Project as Yayasan MENDAKI joins us as our latest partner, with the collaboration inaugurated with a Memorandam of Understanding between both parties on 6 June 2012.
With this partnership, we’ll kickstart irememberMENDAKI in conjunction with MENDAKI’s 30th anniversary celebrations. You would’ve already heard this piece of news from the announcement by Minister Yaacob Ibrahim at MENDAKI’s media conference on 5th April announcing the launch of a Learning Festival held on15-17 June at the Expo.

“Over the years, MENDAKI has touched many lives. Many people have volunteered their time and contributed through other forms, in the process benefitting others. We want to capture these rich memories and welcome the public to share their stories and experiences for the benefit of future generations,”

Mr Gene Tan, Director of the Singapore Memory Project

And a new partnership forged!

A major highlight of this event for us is the irememberMENDAKI gallery which traces the milestones of the journey of MENDAKI and the Malay-Muslim community over the past 30 years. The event will also serve as a memory collection platform for for the Singapore Memory Project under the irememberMENDAKI joint initiative. So if you’re in the vicinity on those dates, do come down and experience what our project is about, and learn how MENDAKI has come a long way in the past 30 years!

Check our the Yayasan MENDAKI partner page for more memories as we gear up for the Learning Festival on the 15th of this month!
