My Home My Library
25 March – 29 April
Public Libraries island-wide

We all have our personal box of memories. A faded movie stub from a first date. That old, yellowed photo of your grandfather, or a tatty paper library card. Each time we open the box, we relive our memories and keep our past alive.

The Singapore Memory Project presents “My Home, My Library” – a nationwide exhibition showcasing personal memories contributed by residents of each neighbourhood. From library romances to tok-tok noodle carts and kampong life, each memory tells a unique story that forms a portrait of our home and our libraries.

Take a peek into our treasure trove of stories and share some of your own precious memories with your fellow residents. Vote for your favourite childhood games at our polling stations.

Stand a chance to win $200 worth of shopping vouchers in a weekly lucky draw* – snap photos of the exhibition, tag it with #sgmemory, and upload to Twitter and Instagram. The most retweeted photo will also win $50 worth of shopping vouchers.

    • Since the launch of the Singapore Memory Project (SMP) and the events island-wide at the public libraries, “irememberSG” activities and events, more Singaporeans are aware of this meaningful project as a collaborated and organised collective memory bank of heritage and personal memories for everyone.

The related public and private agencies have generously contributed and sponsored in various ways for the project.

“Know SMP. Make SMP Known” for everyone to share nostalgia memories for posterity of every generation.
